Jesus didn't enter the wilderness as a demonstration of His invulnerability—He entered it as a man, hungry and vulnerable, to show us that temptation itself is not sin, and that God's Word is sufficient for every assault.

Jesus doesn't promise that following Him will make us comfortable, successful, or respected. He promises that it will cost us everything—and that nothing we lose will be worth comparing to what we gain in Him.

Jesus' seven last words from the cross are not the gasps of a dying man—they are the measured, intentional final teachings of the God-man, sealing the redemption of the world with His last breaths.
